5.LED driver circuit and method 

What would be the most important part for the leds? Of course it will LED chips and circuit 


An LED driver circuit and method are disclosed where an array of light emitting diodes have a transistor connected to each respective array of light emitting diodes. A PWM controller has an input for receiving a voltage reference and an output connected to selected transistors for driving selected transistors and setting a PWM duty cycle for the selected arrays of light emitting diodes to determine the brightness of selected light emitting diodes. An oscillator is connected to the PWM controller for driving the PWM controller.Automobiles typically use standard bulbs in the stop-tail-turn combination lamps located at the rear of automobiles

The driver circuit is the key point for the IC driver ,which will affect the application for more cars and stable for the led lights.

High intensity led chips with adjustable focus

There are many kinds of led chip ,SMD ,COB ,high power led with CREE,Epistar ,Philips with high intensity led chips to make it with brighter brightness.

The present invention provides a lighting device comprising one or more LED chips positioned on one or more LED chip bases; one or more lens bases each of which comprises one or more lenses, said lens comprises coatings for changing color temperature of the light produced by said LED chips and transmitted through said lens; and a motion transmission system to change the position of said lens bases relative to said LED chip bases, wherein each of said lenses is placed along the light path of one or more LED chips, and said lens changes the light beam cone angle of light emitted from said LED chips to produce long distance high intensity illumination. In one embodiment, the lens bases can be moved in a direction parallel to the optical axes of said lens, or moved on a plane that is parallel to said LED chip bases.

When you want to choose a led lights ,pls kindly mind that what kinds led chip it is cause it will have a big influence on the brightness.

Why LED Headlight becomes the trend?


From Halogen ,HID to LED car headlight ,each has its pros and cons ,while led headlight still are the trend for future and become more and more popular.

A vehicle headlight that employs a plurality of LED units that emit white light. Each LED unit employs chip-on-board technology where LED semiconductor chips are mounted directly to a submount substrate using solder or stud bumps. An elongated lens is molded over the LED unit in contact with a base substrate. Light emitted from the semiconductor chip is reflected and directed by the lens to generate a beam of light. Some of the light emitted from the LED semiconductor chip is redirected back to the submount substrate to be reflected back into the lens to increase the light intensity of the LED unit. Several of the elongated lens and associated LED units are optically glued to a single prism that collects all of the light beams from all of the LED units



A lighting assembly and its method of manufacture. The lighting assembly has a heat sink. A plurality of surfaces are disposed on the front of the heat sink. At least one first surface is oriented in a first plane and at least one second surface is oriented in a second plane. A first plurality of light sources are mounted to at least one first surface. A second plurality of light sources are mounted to at least one second surface. As a consequence, light can be directed in two distinct directions to create a discernable high beam condition and low beam condition. A space is defined in front of the light sources. At least one heat exchange element is provided that protrudes forward from a heat sink into the space thereby helping to vaporize any condensation that may form within that space.

LED headlight creates high quality beam pattern independent


One of the most challenging applications for high brightness LEDs is in automotive headlights. Optical designs for a low or high beam headlights are plagued by the low flux and luminance of LEDs compared to HID or incandescent sources, by mechanical chip placement tolerances and by color and flux variations between different LEDs. Furthermore the creation of a sharp cutoff is very difficult without baffles or other lossy devices. We present a novel LED headlight design that addresses all of the above problems by mixing the light of several LEDs first in a tailored light guide called LED combiner, thereby reducing color and flux variations between different LEDs and illuminance and color variations across the LED surfaces. The LED combiner forms a virtual source tailored to the application. The illuminance distribution of this virtual source facilitates the generation of the desired intensity pattern by projecting it into the far field. The projection is accomplished by one refractive and one reflective freeform surface calculated by the 3D SMS method. A high quality intensity pattern shape and a very sharp cutoff are created tolerant to LED to optics misalignment and illuminance variations across the LED surface. A low and high beam design with more than 75% total optical efficiency (without cover lens) and performance as latest HID headlights have been achieved. Furthermore it is shown that the architecture has similar tolerance requirements as conventional mass produced headlights. 

Now the led headlights becomes the trend and more and more people love it cause of its long lifespan and high brightness.
